12 January - King David Mowbray

I spent yesterday at the KD Mowbray Junior open.

The course is looking better and better as they are prepping for the joint hosting of the Cape Town open.

A windy afternoon made for some interesting golf and the winner shot a commendable 2 under par to win by a shot.

You have to wonder how many of the kids knew that the course was established in 1910. And that they were walking on fairways where Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Ernie Els and Vijay Singh once walked.

There is something to be said about how free the kids play the game. It's great to watch. There are not to many golf demons chasing them!

It was also great to see two girls mixing it up with the boys.
The first two girls finished 3 shots behind the winner at one over par, joint third.
It was great to watch.

Get out to play Mowbray soon as it will get better and better over the next few weeks.

Leave a comment on this post. I will send a sleeve of balls to the best comment.

See you on the fairways.
