What a way to spend the first Monday of the year.
My son played the Parow junior open and I walked the course.
He played really well getting to 2 under after 8 holes. He had some bad luck on the 9th. And made a snowman!
He finished 5th on 3 over par in the end. The winner playing in his four ball, shot 67. A great score for a 15 year old.
The course was designed by Gary Player and has some great holes.
The 7th and 17th par 3's are special.
The greens were great, but the fairways are getting dry in patches with the extreme heat.
I finished the day of with a level par 9 holes playing with my 17 year old daughter.
We both played of the mens T's at Clovelly Country Club.
The course is in great condition. And the greens are rolling pure!
I made 3 birdies and 3 drops. She made 2 birdies with no drops!
That's why I play of a 4... And she plays of a +2.
